Carla Schroyer is the founder of Schroyer Consulting LLC and an accomplished nonprofit leader with more than 15 years of experience overseeing complex operations, multi-site programs, and high-impact community initiatives. She is dedicated to helping organizations strengthen their systems, support their teams, and expand their impact through practical, results-driven solutions.

In her leadership role as Director of Community Choice Pantry Services at Community Assistance Network (CAN), Carla oversees the operations of one of Baltimore County’s leading food assistance programs, serving neighbors experiencing food insecurity with dignity and respect. She leads a team of more than 25 staff and volunteers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, client-centered services while maintaining compliance with state and local regulatory agencies.

Carla has a proven track record of turning strategy into measurable impact. She successfully led the renovation and expansion of CAN’s pantry operations and played a key role in transitioning the program to a client-choice model, improving both accessibility and the overall client experience. Through her leadership in partnership development and grant writing, she generated over $550,000 in funding in a single fiscal year, significantly expanding program capacity and resources for the community.

Her work is deeply rooted in collaboration and innovation. Carla has built strong partnerships across nonprofit, government, and healthcare sectors—including collaborations with organizations such as the Maryland Food Bank, Baltimore County, and MedStar Health—to advance initiatives like food access programs and Food as Medicine models. Carla is a Neighborhood Spotlight Awardee (2025) from the Baltimore Community Foundation, a Board member of the Leadership Baltimore County (LBC) Program, multi-committee member of LBC, member of the Baltimore County Food Security Council, and a recognized speaker and community leader. She holds an Associate of Arts in Human Services with a psychology concentration and continues to advance her expertise through professional development in nonprofit management and leadership.
